Biographical Notes

Judah Monis (1683-1764) was the first instructor of Hebrew (1722-1760) at Harvard. Monis's Hebrew Grammar was published in 1735 by Jonas Green, a Boston printer, and son of printer Timothy Green (1679-1757) of New London, Conn.
