The bills are drawn by John Henry Bastide, chief engineer for Nova Scotia and New Hamsphire, in favor of James Allen of Boston, upon Edward How, deputy storekeeper, and are signed by Bastide, other officials, and the recipients. Also with a summary of expenses, signed by How and Bastide.
